Deeone, Thank You for your wonderful message. I apologize for not replying sooner. I just discovered this uplifting message tonight. I appreciate you taking the time to share your techniques with me. It's so true, what we feed our minds, especially first thing in the morning and just before bed, those thoughts have such tremendous impact on our mindset. Thanks again for the message, it made me feel great! Renee

Hi Renee,

I first want to tell you how absolutely motivating and inspiring you are to me. Your positive energy is quite contagious, and I think that I am a really positive person; you make me want to take it up a couple of notches. :D

Every morning I before I do anything else, I open my eyes and thank the Maker for another day. I then head into the kitchen and grab my morning Joe. I usually grab a daily affirmations or some type of book about mastering life, and then allow those words to permeate into my being.

This daily ritual every since I've been doing it, has helped me to tackle many fears that I've found myself having. I tend to face them head on though; I think it's my personality to do so. I really don't like to be afraid, so whenever I have something that I am fearful of doing... I attack it. Fear and all. The energy alone usually subsides the fear. Fear simply doesn't have time to respond with me.... I don't give it time too.

In the past, I was paralyzed by it, and do to being paralyzed by the state of fear; I missed out on a HUGE opportunity once. So now, I no longer allow my fears to drive me; I drive my fears. :)

Not seeing the 'Like' button on your page. Did I miss it? Thank you for this post. So many of us need this help because we didn't get the instruction as kids. We were told "Say your soryy" and that was it. Knowing how to accept one equally important. Excellent examples.

as a person who tends to "catastrophize" I know the place of fear...I pretty much know where it all stems from to, but that doesn't always help. I have found help through hypnosis, exercise, writing and prayer.

Lovely, Renee! I know what it feels like to be in the grip of fearful thoughts and also the power of faith. There are different types of fear, some of which are for our own protection, but some are irrational and unfounded. For me, the best way to overcome my irrational fears has always been prayer or turning to my Bible. It works every time!

You have such a lovely presence, Renee. I think that from an energetic point of view, there is very little-to-no difference between the state of prayer and that of meditation. I believe they both take us to the same place and at some point the difference is merely semantic. Might be interested to think that every time you pray you are meditating! As for fear, sometimes, I think it is appropriate (like when I was faced with a gang of predatory men in a subway when I was a young woman) For me I like to think about how to transform fear into an energy that will help me instead of get me stuck, whether the fear is emotional anxiety or an appropriate response to something genuinely dangerous. I vlogged recently about facing fear with a firewalk. Lemme know if you are interested...

I learned a catch phrase on fear. It means False Evidence Appearing Real. When a fear comes up for me, I question it immediately and most of the time, I find that it goes away just asking if it's true or not. Sometimes I've sat with the fear and just watched the emotion with no judgment and soon it dissipates. If it's a big anxiety fear, it may take a minute or more but I allow it to be and it soon leaves. These are two of the ways I deal with fear.

As to meditation, you can easily do meditation a minute at a time. I've learned that meditation is a time to sit with yourself and get to know yourself in a deeper sense. Sometimes you get quiet mind and sometimes you get the monkey mind. But just sitting and noticing your breath is a great way to calm yourself.

yoga keeps me centered -- I cannot really do affirmations - I just laugh when I do it! but, when I concentrate in yoga, I conquer fear and renew my faith. rachel

It seems like most humans have issues with the "sorry" gene, whether it is on the receiving or giving end. I especially like your example of receiving the apology and stating, "I'm a little worked up....". Sincerity certainly needs to be on both ends!
